YOSIMA clay design plaster.
146 earth colours, no synthetic pigments

Claytec's clay design plaster: natural earth tones, a velvety matt finish, colour from clay alone – applied by us on La Gomera.

146 colours of the earth –
without a single synthetic pigment.

YOSIMA is the design plaster line by Claytec: a clay design plaster that takes its colours exclusively from natural clays. No synthetic pigments, no preservatives – earth in its purest form, worked into a velvety wall surface.

The 146 shades range from warm ochre and cool slate grey to soft rosé. Every nuance comes from the clay itself. The result is a surface with depth and life that changes with the daylight – especially in the bright light of the Canary Islands.

“Colour that comes from the earth, not from a laboratory. Every shade has a story.”
Velvety matt finish
YOSIMA dries to a velvety matt surface that shimmers as the light changes. The grain of the clays creates a natural depth.
Easy touch-ups
Scratches and small damage can be repaired locally – moisten, rework, done. No need to repaint whole walls.
Built on clay plaster
YOSIMA is applied as a top coat on clay plaster or a suitable, prepared substrate – combining design with the building-physics benefits of a clay wall.

FAQ

YOSIMA design plaster – questions and answers

What is YOSIMA?

YOSIMA is a clay design plaster by the German manufacturer Claytec. Its colour comes exclusively from natural clays; the range comprises 146 shades.

Can I see the colour on my wall first?

Yes. On request we apply sample areas on your wall, so you can judge the shade in the real light of your room before deciding.

Where is YOSIMA suitable?

In living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and studies. In the direct splash zone of showers or kitchens we use Tadelakt or lime plaster instead.

How do I care for a YOSIMA wall?

The surface is open-pored and is cleaned dry. Small damage can be moistened and repaired locally without visible transitions.
